Financial Aid, FACTS & Work Study Students

SpacerFinancial Aid Students & Distribution of Financial Aid

Students are required to pay tuition and fees at registration.

Financial Aid in the form of grants, scholarships and loans will first be applied toward the payment of outstanding tuition and fees owed to the college by the student.

Financial aid awarded in excess of outstanding tuition and fees will be disbursed by check to the student approximately two weeks after the start of the semester. This includes Stafford Loan money that has been awarded and paperwork completed.

For students receiving financial aid and completing registration through Web Advisor, a data process checks your pending award amount against the amount due. If there is a difference, you must pay the balance using your credit card or deliver a check or cash for that amount to an Accounts Manager or cashier at a CMC site before 4 pm on the day you've registered. If you do not take this action, your registration will be dropped at midnight that evening.

If you are uncertain of amount of financial aid available to you, please log on to Wed Advisor and review your Financial Aid Status by term. To ensure the appropriate credit has been posted to your account, also review Account Summary by Year or Term. This access will allow you to view your current account status and availability of funds.

Funds awarded in Estimated or Accepted status is accepted by WebAdvisor.
