Our highly trained volunteers offer one-on-one, personalized service for your unique situation and are trained in all parts of Medicare including supplement plans and additional money saving programs. Call 970-384-8744 for details.
RSVP Helping Hands for Seniors Program
RSVP volunteers can help with simple maintenance and repair projects such as, but not limited to: yard work, minor plumbing and electrical repair, light bulb and smoke detector battery replacement, basic personal computer assistance, minor carpentry, installation of grab bars, minor home adaptations for disabled, wheelchair ramp installation and basic energy assessments and home weatherization. RSVP Colorado AARP Driver Safety Class
The Colorado AARP Driver Safety Class is directed towards drivers 50 and older. Most Colorado auto insurance companies offer discounts to those who complete the course. The program covers the following driving topics: how to compensate for changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time; how to handle problem situations such as left turns, right of way, freeway traffic, trucks, and blind spots while driving; what to do if confronted by an aggressive driver; when to use a car phone; how medications may affect driving; how to properly use anti-lock brakes, air bags, and safety belts; how to assess your own and others' driving abilities with a Personal Driving Capability Index.
