Colorado Mountain College is accepting applications for part-time Test Proctors for Accuplacer Placement Testing. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of college testing/assessment and measurement; administration of testing, test security procedures, Microsoft Office, internet browser and on-line technology.
Responsibilities include preparing testing room for examination, obtaining student rosters, verifying participating students are appropriately registered for the test, ensuring proctor-to-student ratios are in compliance, administering Accuplacer test for students, printing and providing students’ scores upon completion of testing, routing student rosters to Testing Coordinator upon completion, providing monthly reports to Testing Coordinator/Director Developmental Education, and entering test scores into College’s computer system.
Minimum qualifications: High School diploma or GED required and some college experience preferred with at least 2 years of work experience in a clerical/administrative office environment. Must be able to work at multiple campus locations, and work with a flexible schedule. Some travel and weekend/evening work may be required. Applicants should have the ability to read, write, speak and understand English, bi-lingual a plus; be skilled at working effectively with a diverse group of students, faculty and staff, with strong attention to detail, planning, interpersonal and organization skills. Hours per week may vary.
Special Note
Candidates for the Proctor position:
- Cannot be a CMC student, a peer of the student, a friend of the student, have no stake in students’ scores, related to the student, be employed part- or full-time at a test preparation company, participate in any coaching activities that address the content of ACCUPLACER tests, faculty, students’ advisors/counselors, or the students’ tutor
- Cannot be a FT Non-exempt employee of CMC
- FT Faculty
- PT Faculty or
- Adjunct Faculty
PT non-exempt may be limited in the number of hours they may work. Work must not interfere with employees regularly scheduled work hours. Total hours for both CMC positions may not exceed 28 hours per week.
