Sign Language Interpreter -PT for Colorado Mountain College

Requirements:

·       Skilled in American Sign Language (ASL –voice to sign/sign to voice), have previous Educational Interpreting experience, and have an understanding of the Deaf culture.

·       Prefer RID certified or hold an EIPA score of 3.5 or above. 

·       Proficient in educational vocabulary signs at a college level. 

·       Possess excellent communication skills.

·       Exhibit a professional and friendly manner and be willing to work with students, faculty, and staff. 

·       Flex schedule for varied hours as well as travel to both Summit County CMC locations if needed. 

Duties include but are not limited to: 

·       Interpret in a classroom setting

·       Interpret tutoring sessions 

·       Facilitate tutoring new signed vocabulary when necessary for Deaf students.
