Fire Science Technology Faculty and Program Coordinator, Edwards Campus, Edwards, CO

This full time, 12 month position will start August 2013. Teaching responsibilities include courses in the Associate of Applied Science degree related to Fire Science certificates within the Colorado Mountain College district and service area. The successful candidate will teach 24 -30 credits annually on-campus and college-wide via hybrid and online delivery. The position is based at the Colorado Mountain College campus in Edwards, Colorado. Responsibilities also include serving on campus and college-wide committees, student advising, and performing other duties normally required of a full time faculty member. Additional responsibilities include collaborating college-wide to expand the program, development of current curriculum into an online or hybrid delivery, oversight of program advisory committees, working with the local agencies as well as business and industry partners, and oversight of the fire science facility and equipment. Excellent organizational and leadership skills are essential.

Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4000 hours of paid occupational experience in a Fire Science field within the last seven years, and the equivalent of one year teaching experience, or Master’s Degree with a minimum of 2000 hours of paid occupational experience in a Fire Science field within the last seven years, and the equivalent of one year teaching experience. Degree in Fire Science, Public Safety, Public Administration or related field preferred. CMC offers excellent benefits. Salary Range: $52,563 - $64,486 depending upon education and experience. Automotive Service Technology Faculty and Program Coordinator, Edwards Campus, Edwards, CO

This full time, 12 month position will start August 2013. Teaching responsibilities include all courses in the Automotive Service Technology certificate program.  The successful applicant will teach 24-30 credit hours annually for Eagle Valley High School students and Colorado Mountain College students. This position also includes serving on campus and college-wide committees, student advising and performing other duties normally required of a full time faculty member. Additional responsibilities include collaborating college wide to expand the program; continued development of current curriculum, development of additional related programs such as alternative fuels, oversight of the program advisory committees, strengthen business and industry partnerships as well as the partnership with high school administration, and oversight of the automotive facility and equipment.  Excellent organizational and leadership skills are essential. 

Requirements: Current ASE Master certified for Automobile and Associate’s degree, or current enrollment in an Associates program with expected completion by 2016 (related field preferred). Also required: a minimum 6000 hours related work experience within the past 5 years, including the equivalent of one year full-time teaching experience. Bachelor’s degree in an Automotive area or related field preferred. CLETA (Colorado Law Enforcement Training Academy) Faculty, Roaring Fork Campus, Glenwood Springs, CO

This is a 12 month, year round position. The incumbent will maintain 30-credit hours of teaching entry level skills that police officers need for certification in Colorado, including investigatory procedures; communications; human relations; basic law; US Constitutional issues; patrol procedures; officer safety; community relations and observational skills.

Requirements: Minimum of an Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university and a minimum of 6,000 hours of verifiable work experience in law enforcement within the last 7 years, with the equivalent of one year full time teaching experience; or a Bachelor’s degree and 4,000 hours verifiable work experience within the last 7 years, with the equivalent of one year full time teaching experience. Preferred: Master’s Degree and 2,000 hours verifiable work experience within the last 7 years, with the equivalent of one year full time teaching experience; Colorado Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T) certified or completion of P.O.S.T. certification within the first 6 months of employment required; P.O.S.T. supervisory experience in law enforcement and instructor certification in one or more of the 3 P.O.S.T. skill areas preferred. New Media Faculty and Program Coordinator, The Isaacson School for New Media at Colorado Mountain College, Roaring Fork and Aspen Campuses,  Glenwood Springs and Aspen, CO

Colorado Mountain College is seeking an experienced professional and dynamic educator for a full time 9-month faculty position, at the Aspen and Glenwood Springs Campus locations. The successful candidate will take a leadership role in this innovative and creative program, representing the convergence of communication, technology, and entertainment through graphic design, photography, marketing and other components. Areas of program focus may include Entrepreneurship and Creative Careers, Citizen and Public Media, Arts and Entertainment, Professional Proficiency. Duties will include teaching courses in one or more program tracks emphasizing digital journalism, digital media production, and digital marketing. Additional responsibilities will include developing student internship opportunities for New Media, Professional Photography and Graphic Design students; ensuring in-class and/or online instructional models, formats and pedagogy are consistent with Isaacson School Principles of Excellence; as well as developing and administering the program budget. Other faculty responsibilities include serving on campus and college-wide committees, program advisory committees, student advising, assessment and program evaluation, hiring and mentoring adjunct faculty, as well as other duties normally required of a fulltime faculty member.  Some travel and weekend hours may be required.  Summer teaching and/or summer projects expected for first few years of program.

Requirements  Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field with a minimum of three years of directly related experience, including the equivalent of one year full time teaching experience; or Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of five years directly related experience, including the equivalent of one year full time teaching experience. Higher education teaching experience preferred. Hiring Salary range $51,781-$64,486, depending on education and experience.  Summer teaching and/or summer projects expected for first few years of program. Summer work is additionally compensated.

Under the supervision of the Campus Dean of Student Affairs, the College Counselor provides, career and educational counseling, academic advising, career/life planning, personal counseling, financial aid advising and registration assistance. In response to changing demographic, technological and evolving community needs counselors provide leadership and support in the development of new and enhanced student success and retention programs. The College Counselor develops and maintains a professional association with mental health providers and establishes referral contacts for students when necessary. BRECKENRIDGE / DILLON CAMPUS, COLORADO

Nursing Faculty, Summit Campus, Breckenridge, CO  

This full time 9 month faculty position will start August, 2013 and is grant funded for two years.

Teaching responsibilities will include nursing didactic courses as well as clinical teaching in Associate Degree Nursing Program for Registered Nurses and proposed RN-BSN (Pending HLC approval). Teaching responsibilities may include pharmacology, obstetrics/pediatrics, or medical/surgical. Some travel and weekends may be required. Other faculty responsibilities will include student advisement, curriculum development, BSN program development, assessment and program evaluation. 

Requirements: Master’s Degree in Nursing; an active, unencumbered Colorado RN license or the ability to obtain a Colorado Nursing license; 2000 hours verifiable related occupational experience within the past 5 years and the equivalent of one year full time teaching/training experience. Doctoral degree or current enrollment in Doctoral program preferred. Salary range $58,084 - $72,770 depending upon education and experience.
