When may I ship my luggage or boxes to the residence hall?
Your boxes and luggage may be sent to arrive on or after August 17, 2009. They can be shipped to the following address: Student's Name 1400 Bob Adams Dr. Hill Hall Box A### (Add Student's Mailbox Number Here) Steamboat Springs, Colorado 80487
When will I get my housing assignment?
Housing assignments will be sent out after August 1st. We continue to get cancellations as students plans change and we want to provide the most accurate information prior to your arrival. We will try to honor all roommate requests but there may be exceptions.
Do I get to meet my roommate before I arrive in the fall?
When you receive your room placement, you will also receive the name, phone number and email of your future roommate(s). You may wish to contact him or her to talk about your living arrangement. We highly encourage you to contact each other and plan for your arrival on campus.
What if I am in a Triple Room?
Because we are located in Steamboat, housing is very full and we try to get in as many students as we can accommodate. We begin the year with 10 triples and usually they are disbanded within 6-8 weeks. Every year we have a few triples where the students choose to stay in them, but for others students typically mutually agree who will stay in the room and who will move. If a decision cannot be made then we will go by deposit date or the decision of the Student Life Office.
How will I get my keys?
Room keys will be issued on your move in day. You will go to Hill Hall to check in with the hall staff. At that time you will also receive additional information to help you maneuver your way through the first few weeks of school.
What should I do on move-in day?
Move your belongings into your room, meet your roommate(s) and your Resident Assistant, and get your CMC Student ID card. There will be Welcome Week activities provided Friday, August 27th beginning with Academic Convocation activities continuing through your first week of classes.
