| Description: | This is a mini-immersion course where students learn vocabulary and grammar focusing on food and ordering at a restaurant. Students also practice money conversion and learn about different cultural components of Spanish-speaking countries. The class is broken into two segments: classroom learning and then a trip to an authentic Mexican restaurant for lunch and practice (speaking only Spanish!). Students should have some Spanish exposure, but not too much (beyond SPA112 or SPA102). Students are responsible for their own meal and transportation to the restaurant. Bring paper, pen and your enthusiasm to learn. Handouts are provided. Meets at the Glenwood Center. Cost: $62; Refund: 3/7. |
