| Description: | This is a mini-immersion course where students learn vocabulary and grammar focusing on medical/health related topics and filling out medical forms. Students also learn about different cultural components (relating to medical/health topics) of Spanish-speaking countries. This class is four hours of intensive language study and role-playing; it is especially appropriate for medical workers needing help working with their Spanish-speaking patients and persons who may be traveling to Spanish-speaking countries wanting to feel confident should they need to visit a medical facility. Students should have some Spanish exposure, but not too much. Bring paper, pen and your enthusiasm to learn. Handouts are provided. Meets at the Glenwood Center. Cost: $53; Refund: 2/7. |
