Grand Canyon Field Course
CMC's geology field course to the Grand Staircase and the Grand Canyon -the experience of a lifetime- begins with a pre-trip class at the Rifle campus May 6th, 2013. Explore the grandeur of our planet's history on a trek down the staircase of geologic time. Professor Emeritus Garry Zabel leads this popular 12-day 3-credit field course from the Glenwood Canyon to Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, Zion and the Grand Canyon. Don't miss this opportunity to study a cross-section of the Earth's history, unmatched anywhere else in the world. This course includes an outstanding 5-day Grand Canyon rim-to-rim backpack trek.
