The air compressor that provides a cooling sheath gas went out of commission a couple of weeks ago due to being overworked (excuses....excuses....). However, the replacement compressor is scheduled to arrive later this week (October 26-30) for which we expect the ICP to be up and running mid-week of November 2. Once the the ICP is up and running next will come the analytical method development for the TAL Suite and EPA drinking water constituents. It is also planned that the MDLs (Method Detection Limits) and IDLs (Instrument Detection Limits) will be determined and posted within the next couple of weeks.
IC Updates
The IC is up and running like a charm! We also are planning to run some MDL and IDL tests on the IC with their results posted by mid-December.
TAL Open House
The TAL open house saw some interested individuals stop by to see the new facilities and pick-up some water sample bottles. Turn-out was low but it was tough to compete against another clear, bluebird sky day in Leadville (especially in the fall). Visitors are more than welcome to stop by anytime but we encourage visitors to call Kato Dee (719-486-4222) or Dr. Harting (719-293-0529) prior to their visit.
