If you would like to perform a reading of your own work, the Poetry Slam has just a few simple guidelines:
• The poem must be your own.
• The poem must be no longer than 3 minutes in length.
• Performers use no props other than a simple folder, if they have not memorized their poem.
• No group pieces or music.
