Leadership Summit Builds Awareness While Enhancing Leadership Skills

Summit County community members develop their leadership character and skills in CMC hosted collaborative program

Leadership Summit is a nine-month community leadership program committed to enhancing and connecting leaders from business, non-profits, and government. For the past seven years, the program has empowered participants with a comprehensive understanding of our community's challenges and opportunities, providing them with a broader knowledge of the community.

Leadership Summit is designed for current and emerging leaders who have the capacity to make a positive impact in the community. The program brings together a diverse group of professionals from financial services, education, the ski industry, healthcare, the arts, community organizations, government and other sectors. Participants acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to be more effective as a leader in business and volunteer community.

Leadership Summit does not discriminate because of age, sex, race, religion, or national origin. The process of selection begins each spring with an appeal to the public for nominees. Self-nominations are encouraged. All nominees are sent application forms. Participants are chosen by a selection committee, from all applications received. Class size is limited to 20 participants.

Class members are selected based on their leadership abilities, career accomplishments, volunteer activities, contributions to the community, and desire to help shape a better community. If you are interested in nominating someone for Leadership 2013, please email Suzanne Price, Colorado Mountain College, at sprice@coloradomtn.edu with the name, email address, and phone number of the potential applicant.

Tuition

Tuition is currently $1,250. Partial scholarship assistance may be available for those who qualify.
