She has traveled extensively in addition to living and teaching in Spain, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico and Thailand. Her education includes BA degrees in English and Spanish, a Master's in Education, a Certificate in Translation Studies, and she is currently pursuing a Master's in Spanish Linguistics. Her experience teaching foreign language and directing study-travel programs in a variety of locations allows her to help students optimize their abroad experience. Mary has traveled extensively through Latin America and Spain and is passionate about sharing her language and cultural experiences with her students. | Bob Gumbrecht, bgumbrecht@coloradomtn.edu Alpine Campus / Colorado Mountain College 1330 Bob Adams Drive Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 970-870-4484 office Bob Gumbrecht, Associate Professor of Social and Behavioral Sciences, has led CMC students to Nicaragua for the past four years. In 2006, Professor Gumbrecht and his political science students participated as election observers in Nicaragua's historic presidential election. In subsequent years, CMC students have studied Nicaraguan politics, global economics, and U.S. foreign policy with Professor Gumbrecht on these seminars. Bob is a Ph.D. candidate in International Studies with emphases in Latin American politics, comparative government, and international political economy and has traveled and studied extensively throughout Central America. | Cooper Mallozzi, cmallozzi@coloradomtn.edu Timberline Campus / Colorado Mountain College 901 S. With a Master's in Science Education, his passion for sharing natural phenomena with students has found him exploring the mountains, canyons and deserts of the west as a science faculty for the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), High Mountain Institute and CMC. Cooper also worked at the Alpine Environmental Education Center in Switzerland and the Zambezi Environmental Education Camp which traveled through Botswana, Namibia, and Zambia. His specialization is in Manuscript/Oral Tradition studies, Old English/Anglo-Saxon Literature, and Late 19th century American Literature. Jeffrey has a love for language, literature, art history, architecture and traveling. With a background in Resource and Environmental Geography and outdoor guiding, Trey has a passion for experiential education in the outdoors, both within the United States and abroad. He has traveled, worked and lived overseas throughout much of Europe as well as southern Kenya and has a love of exploring and sharing international communities and cultures. Her prior experience includes six years of community and business development work in Africa and Eastern Europe with Peace Corps, Botswana Ministry of Education, and international consulting organizations. In addition, she worked in financial management for General Electric, Scholastic Inc., New York City Police Department, and Peace Corps.
