Map Skills The Outdoor Education associate degree emphasis at Spring Valley blends   coursework in the natural sciences, humanities, recreation and environmental awareness to provide a solid educational background you can build on.

The AA Outdoor Emphasis program provides relevant learning experiences and professional-level training to our students.  Students in the Outdoor Education program practice leadership, critical thinking and decision making skills amid the outdoor ‘classroom’ of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Ski the backcountry, raft through sculpted canyons, or climb a granite face while acquiring important career skills.

Graduates of the Outdoor Education program are well prepared for work in resort, or community outdoor recreation programs, as outdoor guides, and for positions with federal agencies or the military.

The AA Outdoor Emphasis program at CMC consists of 31 credits of Colorado State Guaranteed General Education Transfer Curriculum and is designed to transfer to four-year schools in Colorado.
