Cooking and so much more — Certificates or AAS Degree in Sustainable Cuisine

Cooking does not end at the kitchen door

Sustainable Cuisine is an empowering two-year program where students learn to grow their own art supplies in the garden and then use them to create culinary masterpieces in the kitchen. Along the way, they become ambassadors of a healthy food system and learn to use green business practices.

Add to your resume and career with a degree or any of three certificates:

• AAS Degree in Sustainable Cuisine
• Sustainable Cuisine Operations I (certificate)
• Sustainable Cuisine Operations II (certificate)
• Sustainable Food Systems (certificate)

Or simply take the classes that interest you. Some prerequisite classes may apply. Additional information about the certificates and degree can be found in curriculum links (left)

Work experience is not required for the Sustainable Cuisine Program (except the Internship for the AAS degree). There are, however, numerous jobs available in restaurants throughout Vail Valley.

Many of the Sustainable Cuisine courses coincide with the Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts and may be applied toward that degree as well.
