| | Get Started in Culinary Arts at CMCWhether you choose Culinary Apprenticeship or Sustainable Cuisine, here is your next step
Sustainable Cuisine is an open enrollment program that typically begins in August. There are, however, classes available every semester that can get you started. Important information and dates are outlined in the application packet.
You must demonstrate demonstrate college-level reading, writing, and mathematics skills before entering the culinary program. If you are not yet proficient, you will be required to take additional classes to gain college-level skills. Any acceptance to the culinary program remains conditional until all proficiencies are met. There are physical and academic standards (pdf) which you will be required to meet before you are admitted to the program. Students accepted into the college's vocational programs must be physically, mentally, and emotionally self-supportive with reasonable accommodations. If there is a concern about meeting the physical and academic standard, students need to contact the Disability Services Coordinator who will determine the student's ability to participate in this program.
