More Information and How to ApplyFirst Ascent Youth Leadership provides a one-week intensive experience for 9th and 10th graders at CMC's Leadville campus
In addition to outdoor activities, academic subjects such as environmental science, land and water conservation and orienteering are introduced. Evening sessions bring students together to explore the elements of effective leadership through small group discussion led by the camp director and counselors. First Ascent alumni and students in Colorado Mountain College's Outdoor Recreation Leadership program assist throughout the week. How to Apply
Download the following forms to assist you in applying to the First Ascent Program: Application Deadline Applications to participate in First Ascent, as well as First Ascent Student Counselor applications, including recommendations, are due by Friday, April 26th, 2013. Become a First Ascent Student Counselor Student counselors work with staff and are mentors to First Ascent participants. Download and complete the Student Counselor Application and Reference forms.
