| | First AscentInstilling lifelong leadership skills in young peopleEach year, First Ascent Youth Leadership brings together students from six counties in north-central Colorado. The one-week program at the Colorado Mountain College Timberline Campus in Leadville is designed to help young people from various social and economic backgrounds develop leadership skills and confidence.
Year after year participants and parents say that this one-week intensive course was an important decision point. Students return to participate more fully in their schools and communities, more aware of the needs of others and more willing to meet challenges with positive solutions.
