| | Athletics at Colorado Mountain CollegeAn intercollegiate ski team complements an active lifestyle for students in the mountains
Many CMC students enjoy the outdoors right outside their doors. They go mountaineering and ice climbing, freestyle skiing and snowboarding, play golf and disc golf, hike and bike, go whitewater kayaking and rafting individually and competitively. CMC's Timberline Campus in Leadville is right along the Mineral Belt Trail, a 12-mile scenic ribbon great for running and bicycling in the summer and cross-country skiing in the winter. It is also the site of several national competitive races. The Gates Soccer Field on the grounds of the Spring Valley Campus above Glenwood Springs is host to many tournaments. The buzz on the disc golf course on campus is that it's one of the nation's best. |
