Small Business Development Center to be under new management

As of Sept. 15, the Colorado Small Business Development Center Network is looking for a new organization to manage the SBDC in the area that has been served by Colorado Mountain College. Courses that are already scheduled will take place if enough students have registered; anyone interested in signing up for an advertised course can contact their local CMC campus to register.

“Counselors will continue to be available to support small businesses that need assistance,” said Kelly Manning, state director of the Colorado SBDC Network. “The Colorado SBDC Network will continue to serve the region with additional services through a network of new partnerships.”

“We will continue our other ongoing programs that meet the needs of the small business community within our district,” said Dr. Bob Spuhler, president of CMC. “And we support the strengthening and expansion of the SBDC program under new community leadership.”

CMC representatives are contacting businesses that have signed up for workshops. Anyone in need of free counseling about their small business can contact the SBDC’s small business hotline at (303) 592-5920.
