Earn Your Wilderness Emergency Medicine EMS Certificate

The Colorado Mountain College Wilderness EMS Emergency Medicine program has recently been approved as a training site for American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI). ASHI offers nationally recognized certification in many areas of emergency healthcare. ASHI offers Wilderness Emergency Care (WEC), a program which includes certification for the Wilderness First Responder Course and the Wilderness Upgrade course.

Students must hold and provide proof of a curreWilderness EMS Emergency Medicine Certificatent EMT-B or higher certification or RN license to enroll in the Wilderness EMS Upgrade course. The Wilderness Upgrade course is part of the American Safety and Health Institute’s (ASHI) Wilderness EMS- Upgrade certification.

Graduates of our Emergency Medicine program will receive a Certificate of Occupational Proficiency in Wilderness Emergency Medical Services. The Wilderness EMS Certificate is offered at the Summit Campus. For more information see the Course Description section.
