Colorado Mountain College offers the nation's only certification in Animal Shelter Management. You can complete this program by itself or after your Veterinary Technology degree as an added specialty.

The Veterinary Technology farm at Colorado Mountain College Spring Valley includes the CARE animal shelter. This modern animal shelter has a humane, no-kill philosophy and wide community involvement. The Animal Shelter Management certificate let's you learn animal handling and management techniques in this shelter and on the 220-acre farm which includes outdoor pens and work areas . This provides an on-the-job training experience in the classroom.
