Ski and Snowboard Business Connections with the SnowSports Industries of America.

To secure ski industry jobs, you need to make business connections. Through this program you can attend the annual SnowSports Industries of America (SIA) Trade Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Each year, student interns assist manufacturers who are presenting their products to industry and business representatives. The SnowSports Industries of America Las Vegas Show also provides a vital link for future ski jobs.

The Ski and Snowboard Business program provides many opportunities to network with executives and managers on national and international levels.

Ski and Snowboard Business students have worked with Western Winter Sports Representatives Association (WWSRA) in ski shows and special events at Copper Mountain, Vail, Snowbird, Mammoth and Jackson Hole Ski Areas. These events give them additional exposure to potential employers.

Ski and Snowboard Business faculty have also set up an agreement for students to work as interns in Saas Fe, Switzerland. This provides the opportunity to learn the international aspects of the ski and snowboard business.

Steamboat Springs provides many hands-on opportunities to learn the ski business. Students can complete their internship at one of the many ski and snowboarding retail, repair and rental businesses in town or on the mountain.
