The Outdoor Education Program at Steamboat Springs, Alpine Campus invites you to experience courses in outdoor skills, natural sciences, philosophy, ethics, and recreational activities designed to prepare our students for leadership roles in a variety of occupations. Our classroom ranges from small classes on campus to extended field sessions in our surrounding mountains, canyons, deserts, and rivers.

Goals of this program:

  • Provide practical training & experience for future outdoor educators;students  by rocks
  • Promote awareness and reflection concerning safety, gear, risk management;
  • Leave No Trace principles, natural history, ethics, & current/past trends/philosophy in outdoor education;
  • To be out of doors and have fun during your college experience!
