Colorado Mountain College provides education for careers in environmental site assessment, hydrology, soils, forestry, geology, environmental chemistry, environmental monitoring, aquatic ecology and others. You'll study high alpine, river, and semi-desert ecosystems. The diverse terrestrial ecology unique to the Rocky Mountains surrounding Leadville enhances the experiential learning aspect of this program. The Colorado Mountain College Natural Resource Management curriculum is also designed to transfer into four-year degree programs at Western State College of Colorado and Mesa State College. For details on transfer agreements see your advisor. The Natural Resource Management program developed from our Environmental Technology program which began in 1974 and was one of the most well-established programs of its kind in the country.
