Fire Science Technology Curriculum, FirefightingThe two-year degree provides 64 credits of thorough technical training and general education courses in firefighting that can help you move up in your career or job. You can chose to take your training as either a "resident firefighter" or "full student." Some Colorado fire protection districts offer "resident fire fighter programs" for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience.
