Colorado Mountain College is located near some of the nation’s best fly fishing. You will take outdoor classes on the upper reaches of the Arkansas River . Nearby are rivers like the fabled Frying Pan, Roaring Fork, Colorado, and the South Platte. A little further and you can be at the Green and the San Juan. High Mountain lakes abound near campus and there are several well-stocked reservoirs in the county as well as the famous Spinney Mountain reservoir just over an hour away.
