Associate of Arts Degree

A two year transfer degree program.

The Associate of Arts degree at Colorado Mountain College opens the door for many possibilities. While completing the general education requirements for your first two years of college, you can explore interests from economics to literature.

Colorado Mountain College has a long-standing reputation for quality associate degree transfer programs. We pioneered transfer agreements with the University of Colorado and many other schools.

A national study showed that an education from Colorado Mountain College and other two-year colleges is equal to the first two years at some of the nation's well-known private universities, at a quarter of the cost.

The Associate of Arts program encompasses the basics of a traditional liberal arts education. We are part of the new Colorado State Guaranteed (GT) General Education Curriculum which guarantees full transfer of your Associate of Arts degree to public colleges and universities in Colorado.

Use AA electives to explore different subjects or to concentrate in one area. With planning, you may also use these electives for transfer credit to your chosen major at a four-year institution. Our counselors can provide information about transferring your electives.

Many graduates begin their college career with an Associate of Arts (AA) degree unsure of their direction in the beginning. They received personal encouragement from professors, and freedom to explore the options, and today they say that the Associate of Arts program laid the foundation for the successful careers that followed.

Success stories of our transfer students demonstrate the quality of academics you will receive. Along the way, you will have plenty of personal attention. We want you to gain confidence. Explore new directions until you find one that fits. Our teachers will challenge you to do your best.
