Required Qualifications:
Leading candidates for the position of president of Colorado Mountain College will have a minimum of five (5) years of progressive senior leadership experience and an earned doctorate or terminal degree from an accredited institution. Experience in higher education, including teaching, is preferred. Leading candidates from other sectors will have equivalent records of achievement.

Candidates will be committed to empowering and leading others through effective team building and will have exemplary personal and professional characteristics.
The president of Colorado Mountain College shall:
- Develop a vision for Colorado Mountain College and possess the leadership qualities to implement that vision.
- Uphold Colorado Mountain College’s commitment to the Learning College, continuing the strong emphasis on measuring outcomes, especially concerning student success.
- Demonstrate leadership and management qualities that show a strong commitment to fiscal accountability, strategic planning, and academic excellence.
- Be a visible leader committed to involvement within our communities and to working effectively with racially and culturally diverse communities, faculty, staff, students, and Board of Trustees.
- Continue to strengthen and build dynamic partnerships among the Board, communities, and the Colorado Mountain College Foundation.
- Oversee the development, presentation, and management of a multimillion-dollar budget.
- Be an outstanding communicator who, in person and in writing, dynamically represents the college to a variety of internal and external audiences.
