Director of Financial Aid, Central Services, Glenwood Springs, CO

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Services, the Director of Financial Aid is responsible for college-wide financial aid operations ensuring responsive and accurate processing of student financial aid. The Director of Financial Aid collaborates in the development of college-wide financial aid policies; implements and monitors policies and processes; projects and monitors fund expenditures; interprets and communicates governmental regulations; ensures compliance with regulatory requirements; serves as representative and resource for financial aid matters to internal and external groups and inpiduals; facilitates financial aid training for faculty and staff; supervises staff. Essential to the success of this position is knowledge of the student financial aid process, pertinent law, rules and guidelines; ability to work within a multi-campus environment with shared leadership responsibilities; willingness and ability to step in and assist with processing student aid during peak periods. Experience with Datatel/Colleague student information system beneficial; strong accounting and fund management experience desired. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from and accredited institution and four years related work experience in  a field that will provide the education, training and experience necessary to  obtain the knowledge and abilities required to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. GRANTS WRITER/COORDINATOR, DISTRICT OFFICE, GLENWOOD SPRINGS, COLORADO

Reporting to both the Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs (SVPAA) and the Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness (VPIE) the Grants Writer/Coordinator will be responsible for identifying, writing and coordinating grant opportunities for the College. The position will take the lead in Grant related activities. The position will work closely with Institutional Effectiveness to align grant activities with institutional goals and initiatives. This position works in collaboration with faculty and staff college-wide to identify, write and coordinate requests for funding; serve as liaison for the College both internally and externally in matters related to grant applications and awards; assist with pre- and post-award management of all College grants; ensure compliance with granting agencies and college policies; maintain College’s grant databases, conduct audits; develop and execute pre-and post-award grant training.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of related grant work experience required, Master’s degree and 3 years grant related experience preferred. Demonstrated/proven record of success in obtaining grants with experience in preparing grants for higher education (TRIO, SSS, DOLA, Title III, NSF, FIPSE, etc.) Demonstrated/proven track record with grant experience with other educational institutions and non-profits helpful. Must be willing to obtain/maintain certification in a recognized grants management certificate program within two years of appointment to the position. Travel throughout the CMC district required; must have ability to possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license.

Instructional/Reference Librarian, Edwards Campus, Edwards, CO Under the direction of the Virtual Library Director and the Director of Campus Operations, this position will focus on developing college-wide online library instruction and reference services and will be the sole librarian to provide face-to-face library services at the campus. The Edwards campus relies primarily on the Virtual Library’s collection of online materials and does not include a physical library collection. The librarian will be responsible for providing instruction and guidance to students on using online research resources and tools, offering innovative digital and in-person services and providing library outreach. The librarian will also be a liaison between faculty, students and staff and participate in teaching initiatives. Other responsibilities include promoting library resources and services, facilitation of interlibrary loans, circulation of materials, managing borrower information, procurement of needed materials and collecting usage statistics. Regular evening hours will be required with occasional weekend hours.  Requirements:  Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution; experience providing instruction and reference services; familiarity with electronic information sources and strong computer skills. In response to changing demographic, technological and evolving community needs counselors provide leadership and support in the development of new and enhanced student success and retention programs. The College Counselor develops and maintains a professional association with mental health providers and establishes referral contacts for students. Please note that this is not a mental health counseling position. Requirements: Master's Degree in education, social work, counseling or related field. Higher education experience preferred. TIMBERLINE CAMPUS, LEADVILLE, COLORADO

Assistant Project Manager II, Natural Resource Management, Leadville Campus, Leadville, CO – Under the supervision of the Project Manager and/or Faculty, the Assistant Project Manger II, will assist NRM Faculty and Staff as well as oversee and manage fieldwork. This 40 hour a week, grant funded, term position is responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with allocating and implementing student internships, as well as direct field supervision of NRM Students. The incumbent will provide guidance for the Natural Resource Management Internship (NRMI) ensuring all staff are utilizing appropriate techniques for collection and sample analysis; assist in the preparation of monthly, annual and final project reports as well as development of new projects and funding. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Environmental Sciences or closely related field with field experience or Associates Degree with 3 years substantiated work experience in areas of hazardous waste site studies, safety, sampling and client correspondence; experience with environmental compliance, restoration, reclamation and appropriate laboratory instrumentation. An OSHA – 40 hour Hazardous Waste Site Safety Training must be completed upon hiring; must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s license.  Supervisory and industry experience preferred. Instructional Chair, Leadville Campus, Leadville, CO
Under the supervision of the Leadville Campus Dean for Academic Affairs, and in coordination with college-wide Academic Affairs, the Instructional Chair (chair)supervises the delivery of academic programs, in the Arts & Sciences as well as Career and Technical (CTE) areas with an emphasis on quality instruction and continuous improvement of student learning. The Chair develops, organizes and evaluates curriculum; hires, supervises, and evaluates faculty. The chair provides guidance with pedagogy, methodology, and mentoring. The Chair provides leadership and administrative oversight of academic programs and ensures the integrity of program objectives and learning outcomes. The Chair oversees instructional budgets, as well as program, course and risk management. The Chair partners with others to meet community needs by ensuring the quality and integrity of courses and programs. Currently included is oversight in Early Childhood Education, Social Sciences, Computer Science, English as a Second Language, Art, Historic Preservation and Physical Activities. This is a 12-month position that also requires minimum teaching responsibilities in a discipline offered at the college. Requirements: Masters Degree in a related discipline, or masters degree and 15 credits in a related discipline and three years related experience, including a minimum 2 years of  related educational supervisory & administrative experience; and a minimum 1 year of full-time (or equivalent) teaching experience and/or vocational training experience. Examples of related supervisory & administrative experience may include experience as a department chair, pision director, assistant dean, or similar positions.
