Answers to Adjunct Faculty Questions

1. When is pay day?

Paychecks are mailed with an arrival date of the 15th of each month.

2. Are there other ways of receiving my paycheck?

The two available options for paycheck distribution are having them mailed to your home or to your work location.

3. Does the College have a credit union?

Yes, the College currently has 3 credit unions available. Contact the Human Resources department for further information.

4. Is there a policy and procedures manual?

Yes, your Dean or Director has an official copy for staff review.

5. If an adjunct faculty person is not teaching a full load (11 credits) is he/she eligible to assume another position (e.g. a staff job) within the College?

Yes, there are procedures for additional responsibilities assumed by adjunct instructors. See your instructional supervisor for details.

6. Is there any pay for prep time?

No. Prep time is included in the compensation that you receive.

7. Are there benefits?

Yes. Call Human Resources at 945-8691 if you are interested.

8. What do I do if I must miss a class?

Inform your instructional supervisor as soon as possible.
