What is a Green Campus?
The U.S. Green Building Council defines a green campus to be "a higher education community that is improving energy efficiency, conserving resources and enhancing environmental quality by educating for sustainability and creating healthy living and learning environments."
How does a green campus benefit students?
Green campuses are designed to be energy efficient, have lower utility costs, conserve resources and reduce waste. They can also provide a more comfortable, productive, and healthy learning environment for students. Colorado Mountain College is taking steps to establish "green campuses" at all of our locations.
