Off-Campus Login Instructions

Off-campus access to the Virtual Library collection is restricted to CMC students, faculty, and staff.

When accessing Virtual Library databases from off-campus, you will be asked to login. There are several methods that will allow you to login into the Virtual Library system.

1. Login through Blackboard (Recommended):
   • Use the Virtual Library link in your Blackboard course. The link provides seamless authentication.
   • From the CMC Virtual Library web site, upon accessing one of the Virtual Library databases from off-campus you will be presented with a login screen. When a login screen appears, click the “Login through Blackboard” button. Use your active Blackboard account.
2. Login with your Library Card: Upon accessing one of the Virtual Library databases from off-campus you will be presented with a login screen. When a login screen appears, enter your CMC library card number. Enter the following password: cmcstudent. To obtain a CMC library card fill out our Library Card Request Form.
3. Login through MyCMC portal: Login into MyCMC portal. Once logged in, you will find the Virtual Library link under student, faculty, or staff tabs. The link will provide seamless authentication to the Virtual Library.

Access from CMC Computers

If you are accessing Virtual Library databases from one of the CMC computers, you will not be asked to login.
