Blackboard and Blackboard Collaborate (formerly Elluminate Live) Maintenance Schedule

Downtimes

In order to keep Blackboard operating as efficiently as possible, Blackboard is down for maintenance periodically, and is unavailable during those times.
Please plan accordingly, and be sure to save your work and exit before those maintenance downtimes begin.

--NIGHTLY, 3-4 am
--On May 25, 12-4am, Blackboard may experience outages.
--On May 26, 12-4am, Blackboard may experience outages.
--On May 31, spring 2012 Blackboard courses will be set to "unavailable," i.e. hidden from students. Instructors will still have access to their spring 2012 courses and can change this setting back to "available" at their discretion starting June 1, 2012.

Deletion Dates

We remove old Blackboard courses from the server periodically to make room for the new ones. We also make Blackboard courses "unavailable," which simply means inaccessible to students, 2 weeks after the semester ends; instructors are free to set their past courses as "available" at their discretion and will still enjoy full access to their courses regardless of "availability". (Note: "Courses" includes all courses with an old semester indicator in the course name, including demo courses, practice areas, and staff collaborative work spaces. Blackboard Collaborate (formerly known as Elluminate Live) webconference recordings for courses / time periods that are listed in this deletion schedule are also deleted on the dates below.) This schedule is subject to change, so please check back regularly!
