New No Barriers Fund assists CMC students in need
The purpose of CMC Foundation’s No Barriers Fund is to remove unexpected or emergency financial barriers that prevent individuals living in the communities served by Colorado Mountain College from accessing a local college education.
Unlike scholarships which invite applications once/year, No Barriers Fund applications and awards are made available to qualified students year-round. CMC staff (Academic Counselors & Financial Aid advisors) review student applications for these funds on a case-by-case, as-needed basis. Recipients of No Barriers Fund awards are encouraged to give back some or all of the money they receive, if or when they can, or to give back to their community through local community service. Some of them have already done so.
