Director of Risk Management, Collegewide – Under the general direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Risk Management is responsible for the overall development, coordination and implementation of Colorado Mountain College’s occupational health & safety program, fire/life safety procedures, emergency management plan, campus security planning, workers compensation program, environmental and regulatory compliance, pre- construction/project review, business continuity planning, and academic program review to minimize hazards and reduce loss. This position safeguards the College’s assets and assists with managing uncertainty through risk assessment by developing and implementing strategies to manage and mitigate risk exposure.This position also develops and establishes program guidelines, standards and policies; monitors, evaluates and assesses program effectiveness; ensures compliance with government regulations and other appropriate agency requirements; administers and supervises programs; develops, coordinates, and implements environmental, occupational, health and safety programs college-wide. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in a related field and 5 years experience in health & safety, risk management, knowledge of OSHA laws, emergency preparedness and/or safety programs. Custodian - Roaring Fork Campus, Glenwood Springs, CO Under the general supervision of the Physical Plant Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the cleanliness of the facilities; performs minor maintenance and snow removal when necessary; and related duties as they are assigned. Must have the ability to push 75 lbs., ability to lift 60 lbs., ability to use hand tools and perform repetitive tasks. Able to work any shift as needed. EMS Faculty, Roaring Fork & West Garfield Campuses, Glenwood Springs & Rifle, CO – CMC is seeking an experienced EMS professional and dynamic educator for a full time Faculty shared between our Roaring Fork and West Garfield campuses to lead our EMS program. Instructional responsibilities may include credit classes such as: EMT-B; EMT-B Refresher: EMT-I; EMT-I Refresher; Wilderness First Responder; Wilderness EMT upgrade, Basic EKG, and IV-Therapy. In addition, this person will perform administrative duties related to the program such as accreditation and new program development processes; ordering supplies; working with the EMS budget; selecting and scheduling assistant instructors, EMT evaluators and skills assistants; contributing to curriculum development; participating in the EMS program committee; assisting with recertification of EMS personnel in the community; attending faculty in-services; and maintaining working relationships with local EMS providers. Responsibilities include scheduling and supervising student clinical and internship experiences, management of student records, advising students in the EMS program, supervising work-study students, and assisting with student recruitment. Requirements: A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a directly related field preferred. Three years professional field experience; and one year demonstrated teaching experience. The applicant must be a Nationally Registered EMT – Paramedic or State of Colorado EMT – Paramedic Certified. Successful completion of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) Division of EMS Administration and Instructor Course (or completion of this course within the first month of being in position) required. Director of Assessment, Collegewide – Under the general direction of the Vice President, Academic Affairs, the Director of Assessment works to promote a culture of accountability and excellence to improve student learning. A culture of assessment should fully engage students, faculty, and administration through the design and implementation of an effective and comprehensive collegewide assessment plan. This position will lead the planning, organization, writing, and implementation of the college-wide assessment plan; facilitate the activities related to the college planning and assessment cycle; analyze and report the results of collegewide assessment process; establish the program guidelines, standards and policies; monitor, evaluate and assess program effectiveness; ensure compliance with accreditation and other regulations and requirements. Collaborative relationships include working with Academic Affairs, Faculty, Student Affairs, Institutional Research and CMC Campuses. Requirements: Master’s Degree from an accredited institution and 3 years experience in a field that will provide the education, training, and experience necessary. Community college or university administrative experience in student learning outcomes assessment, institutional research, strategic planning or quality management is preferred. Hayden Ranch and Historic Preservation Director, Term Position, Timberline Campus, Leadville – Under direction of the Campus Dean of Academic Affairs or designee, this position is responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination and oversight of the Hayden Ranch program(s). The incumbent works closely with campus and college Student Affairs and Marketing staff to develop and implement a recruitment strategy for Hayden Ranch. Instructional Chair, Timberline Campus: Under the supervision of the Timberline Campus Dean for Academic Affairs, and in coordination with college-wide Academic Affairs, the Instructional Chair (chair)supervises the delivery of academic programs, in the Arts & Sciences as well as Career and Technical (CTE) areas with an emphasis on quality instruction and continuous improvement of student learning. The Chair develops, organizes and evaluates curriculum; hires, supervises, and evaluates faculty. The chair provides guidance with pedagogy, methodology, and mentoring. The Chair provides leadership and administrative oversight of academic programs and ensures the integrity of program objectives and learning outcomes. The Chair oversees instructional budgets, as well as program, course and risk management. The Chair partners with others to meet community needs by ensuring the quality and integrity of courses and programs. Currently included is oversight in Early Childhood Education, Social Sciences, Computer Science, English as a Second Language, Art, Historic Preservation and Physical Activities. This is a 12-month position that also requires minimum teaching responsibilities in a discipline offered at the college. Requirements: Masters Degree in a related discipline, or masters degree and 15 credits in a related discipline and three years related experience, including a minimum 2 years of related supervisory & administrative experience; and a minimum 1 year of full-time (or equivalent) teaching experience and/or vocational training experience; and excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills. Maintenance Manager, West Garfield Campus, Rifle, CO – Under the supervision of the Campus CEO & Director of College Facilities, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the operation, maintenance and appearance of the Campus’ physical plant equipment, facilities and grounds. The position manages and /or performs a variety of skilled building maintenance services; maintains budgets, records and inventory; purchases supplies and equipment. The incumbent will have knowledge of general grounds maintenance practices; basic repair and maintenance of hand tools, maintenance and motorized equipment; and standard cleaning operations as well as standard Microsoft Office software. Requirements: Associates Degree or two years college certificate, vocational school, or technical program beyond high school, business college or similar training efforts, and 3 year related experience, or High School Degree/GED and 4 years related experience; must possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license; serve on-call duty; good organizational and prioritization skills, customer service and basic computer skills required.
