Become a Certified Green Professional

Green training for home builders, property developers, remodelers and real estate professionals

Building trends are changing. Customers are demanding more efficiency and greater health safety. Don’t be left in the dust. Earn a nationally recognized certification from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) with help from Colorado Mountain College and show your customers you’re qualified to provide them with the best in green services.
 
A recent NAHB-McGraw Hill Construction survey indicates that more than half of NAHB’s members, who build more than 80 percent of the homes in the country, will incorporate green practices into the development, design and construction of new homes in the next two years.
 
To become a Certified Green Professional, you must:

• Complete two basic courses: Green Building for Building Professionals and Business Management for Building Professionals (see Curriculum). Both courses are offered at the Green Building Academy at Colorado Mountain College.
• Have a minimum of two years of building industry experience
• Complete and return a graduation application to NAHB
• Keep up with requirements for recertification and pay associated fees
