Colorado Mountain College's courses will quickly prepare you for the Building Performance Institute (BPI) exams with quality training and hands-on experience.
The Building Science Certification program offers four educational opportunities, all using a whole house performance-based approach:
- Building Analyst: Think about residential buildings in a completely new light. A Building Analyst examines building issues from a system perspective, addressing comprehensive and interrelated variables to produce a more comfortable, durable and energy-efficient home. This training will help you prepare for the BPI Building Analyst online and field exams. This certification is a prerequisite for all other certifications in this track. 36 hours
- Envelope Professional: Learn advanced building envelope diagnostic, evaluation and repair skills to help you prepare for the BPI Envelope Professional written and field exams. 30 hours.
- Heating Professional: Understand advanced heating system diagnostic, evaluation and repair skills to help you prepare for the BPI Heating Professional written and field exams. 35 hours
- Cooling Professional: Designed for experienced heating contractors, this training will help you prepare for the BPI Cooling Professional written and field exams. 16 hours
The Green Building Academy at Colorado Mountain College will prepare you for the highly competitive BPI certification exams. This program is also a necessary first step toward becoming a BPI-accredited business.
