JOHANN ABERGER has a B.S. in outdoor education from the University of New Hampshire and an M.A. in international relations with an emphasis in social justice from Prescott College. He is a lead instructor for Desert Mountain Medicine and has over fourteen years of technical climbing experience in ranges all over the world. ANNIG AGEMIAN-RALEY has a B.A. in music and is an Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA) water aerobics instructor. She developed the water aerobics program at CMC and has been teaching at the college since 1981. LYNN ALIYA has a master’s degree in humanities from the University of Colorado and a B.A. from Long Island University. She is a Colorado Artist in Residence and an award-winning actress and playwright. ROY ALTMAN received a B.A. in speech/philosophy from Penn State University and an M.Div. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Roy is retired from the ministry of the First Presbyterian Church and was made Pastor Emeritus by the Presbytery. CHRIS ANDERSON has an M.F.A. in painting and drawing from the University of Denver. She has been teaching art to all levels and ages and showing her work for many years. MARY AXELSON received her B.S. with teaching fields in history and English and her M.Ed. with an emphasis in women’s history from Texas Tech University. She is Professor of Developmental Education at CMC’s Roaring Fork Campus. JESSICA BALTZER has a B.A. in psychology from California State University in Bakersfield. She is a life-long student of aerobics, running and fitness. JOHN BARBEE has a master’s degree in education and training technology and a master’s degree in counseling psychology. John has lived & worked in Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East in humanitarian assistance and development. MIKE BLAIR has a B.A. in psychology and sociology from the University of Alaska and an M.S.W. from the University of Denver. He was formerly the principal of the Bridges Program for RE-1 Schools. DEAN BOWLBY began his schooling at Colorado Mountain College and graduated with a degree at Regis College in 1988 with a major in art. He teaches art at Glenwood Springs Elementary School and is a self-employed artist living in Silt whose work is shown in galleries in Aspen, Denver and Glenwood Springs. SANDY BOYD has been teaching beginning and advanced levels of sewing for many years. She is the owner of the Glenwood Springs Sewing Center. ROY BRANDT studied organizational behavior and communications at Concordia College. He has over 15 years of experience in software support and web design and is the president of Productivity Software. MARC BRUELL has a Ph.D. and an M.A. in psychology as well as an M.Ed. from the University of Texas. He works for RE-1 schools. KEVIN BRUN is the director of the Colorado Law Enforcement Training Academy at CMC’s Roaring Fork Campus. He was a police officer in Rifle for 22 years, serving the last 8 years as a sergeant. DEBRA BURLEIGH has a B.A. in sociology and human services and an M.A. in counseling and guidance. She is a Student Services Counselor at CMC and has taught classes at CMC since 1983. IDA BURNAMAN received her B.S. and master’s degrees in education from Stephen Austin University in Texas. She also holds certifications in counseling, vocational counseling, and mid-management. BETH BYERLY has a B.A. in education and German from Manchester College and an M.A. in international relations from the University of Denver. She was the Coordinator of Student Support Services for the Roaring Fork Campus, and has now opened a small business, High Tails Dog and Cat Outfitters. CHARIS CALDWELL holds a B.A. in English from Mary Baldwin College, an M.A. in moral philosophy from St. Andrews University in Scotland, and an M.Div. from Union Theological Seminary. After a 20-year career in congregation ministry, she now writes books and teaches philosophy classes at CMC. JIM CAMPBELL has a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado’s Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research in ecology and an M.S. in zoology from Kansas State University. He is a retired professor of environmental sciences and outdoor education at CMC’s Leadville Campus. CATHY CARLISLE-MCMULLEN has a B.A. with a fine arts emphasis from Otterbein College. She specializes in oil and watercolor painting and exhibits her works nationwide. Her first published book, “Climbing Knots for Lefties and Righties,” featured over 270 technical drawings. She teaches figure drawing, as well as oil and watercolor painting throughout the valley. JOHN CARPENTER received a B.S. in finance from the University of Central Florida. He currently owns and operates a web application development company. MARTHA CHANEY received her M.Ed. from Leslie University and has been teaching ESL since 1994. She is also a State of Colorado certified K-8 teacher. DAWN CHASE attended Michigan State University, the University of Montana, and Regis University. She has worked in the computer graphics design field since 1991. DAVE CLARK received his Ph.D. from the University of Montana. He is Professor Emeritus of Botany and Geology at CMC. ROSEMARY CLARK has a B.A. in geology and education, and has taught folk dancing, early music and origami throughout the valley. DONNI COCHRAN received her B.A. and M.S. from Northern Arizona University, and completed additional graduate work at the University of Arizona and University of Tennessee in mathematics, business and computer science. She has completed courses through Boeing, IBM and Microsoft and has been in the computer consulting field since 1984. CLIFF COLIA has a Ph.D. in education from the University of Colorado. He also has an M.A. in education, an M.S.W. in school social work, and an M.S. in business. He is currently the principal of Carbondale Middle School. SONNY CONLEY received her B.A. in social science and religious studies from Regis University. She has received training in Imago Relationship Therapy, PAIRS International relationship seminars, and is a certified “Opening the Heart” workshop facilitator with Spring Hill Institute in Boston. She is the director of IRIS Educational Resources in Glenwood Springs. JOEL COTTON received a B.S. in forestry from Oregon State University and an M.S. in computer science from Colorado State University. He is a Certified Cisco Academy Instructor (CCAI). Joel was formerly a Professor of Information Technology and a Division Director at CMC’s Roaring Fork Campus. BONNIE CRETTI has a B.A. in history from Wellesley College and an M.A. in history and education from University of Wisconsin. She has been a resident of the Roaring Fork Valley for more than 30 years and formerly worked at Roaring Fork High School. LINDA CROCKETT holds a B.S. in biology from Fort Lewis College and an M.S. in physical education and integrative physiology from the University of Colorado. She is an adjunct professor of science at CMC. TERRY DANKO holds a degree in civil engineering and is a licensed charter boat captain. He was a swimming coach at the University of Colorado for five years, has been teaching diving since 1972, and owns a diving business in Aspen. DIANE DEFORD holds an M.A. in secondary education with an emphasis in reading from the University of Denver. She is an Associate Professor of Developmental Studies at CMC. ABBIE DICKINSON has a B.A. in communications from Mesa State College and an M.A. in speech communications from the University of Denver. She is the Coordinator of Student Life at the Roaring Fork Campus and a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum. ROBIN DILLON ZUPANIC has been quilting since the early 1990’s. She has taken many classes and workshops from industry leaders and has taught classes for the Glenwood Sewing Center. ERIN DONOVAN has a master’s degree in applied anthropology and historic archaeology from the University of Maryland. She was an assistant professor at Community Colleges of Baltimore County, has been a staff archaeologist and has worked for several museums. She is the founder of Ancient Excursions, LLC. MERNE DRAGONETTE received her M.S. in environmental engineering and her M.A. in mathematics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. After 15 years of teaching at the University of Colorado, she is now a Professor of Mathematics at CMC. JIM DUKE holds a B.S. in zoology and an M.S. in range ecology from Colorado State University. He helped found Pitkin County recycling and compost programs in 1987 and started Cacaloco Compost in 1994. THAE DUNN has a B.A. in psychobiology from the University of California at Santa Cruz, and is working on a master’s degree in early childhood education. She is director-qualified and teaches in a bi-lingual pre-school program at the Colorado Rocky Mountain School. LARRY EGGERS received a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle. He has worked in the design, manufacture, and customer support of computer mainframes and microcomputers for more than 25 years. GARY FAGAN has been involved with computers, operating systems, and application software since the early 1980s. He was employed by U.S. West (Qwest) for 16 years, and owned a computer retail/consulting/service company for 12 years, specializing in small business networking and office automation. SUSAN FATTOR holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Saint Mary of the Plains College and an M.A. of Liberal Arts in education from Regis University. MARY PEACE FINLEY is the author of four award-winning novels and recipient of the Colorado Book Award. Other written works include two non-fiction books in the educational market, anthologized works, articles, and scripts for the PBS nature program, “Wild America.” Mary presents at conferences and teaches writing workshops for children and adults. TERRY FONTAINE has a B.A. from Redlands University and has been painting since childhood. He has worked with watercolor and oils and is currently focusing on acrylics and layered washes. He shows work throughout the Roaring Fork Valley and has won many awards for his paintings at local shows. MAUREEN FOX WILLMAN holds a B.A. in English from the University of Florida and received her M.A. in counseling from Western Carolina University. She has taught for CMC since 1978. BRYAN FRANK received his B.S. in technology education from Colorado State University. He has taught AutoCAD, mechanical drafting, and architectural drafting at Rifle High School and is a freelance consultant. SHELLEY FUTCH holds a B.S. in business administration and marketing from the University of Colorado and an M.A. in industrial arts from San Francisco State University. She has extensive experience working with and teaching graphic design and web development. FRANK GORDON has trained in Aikido since 1981 and holds a 4th-degree black belt. He has practiced various martial art styles since he was seven years old, and is a commercial and investment real estate broker in Glenwood Springs. MEGANN GRETT-PRATT is certified by AFAA in group fitness. She is also trained in step, strength training, dance, Turbo Kick, Pilates and yoga. TRACY HANDY has a B.A. in elementary education from Fort Lewis College and an M.A. in reading from Northern Colorado University. She is an elementary teacher at Carbondale Elementary School. TAL HARDMAN holds a B.S. in English and an M.A. in English studies from Illinois State University. He is an Associate Professor of Communications/Humanities and English at CMC’s Roaring Fork Campus and has taught for CMC since 2002. MARY HARUTUN has a B.A. in English from Colorado State University and an M.A. and Specialists in reading and learning disabilities from the University of Northern Colorado. She was formerly a Professor of Developmental Studies at CMC and has taught for the college since 1987. PAM HOGAN has a B.A. in Spanish literature and outdoor education from Prescott College and an M.A. in ESL from Adams State College. She taught ABE/ESL at the Buena Vista Correctional Facility for seven years and has taught both college-level and secondary Spanish. She is an Associate Professor of Spanish/ESL at CMC. DANIELLE HOWARD is an Investment Advisor Representative for ING Financial Partners, Inc., and owner of Howard Financial Resources. Licensed in many areas of the financial services industry, she takes a “holistic” approach to monetary life planning. A local speaker, presenter and financial consultant, she has been helping clients create healthy financial lives since 1992. BILL INVERSO holds a B.A. equivalency in classical guitar and music theory from Villanova University. He is a virtuoso guitar player, woodworker and furniture maker. SANDY JACKSON has a B.A. in Southwest studies from Fort Lewis College and an M.A. in anthropology from Colorado State University. She was the Associate Director for the Outdoor Semester in the Rockies program and has more than 20 years of teaching experience. DEREK JOHNSTON has a B.F.A. in photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology and came to the Roaring Fork Valley as an artist-in-residence at Anderson Ranch Arts Center. He has been a professional photographer for more than 10 years and received a Colorado Council on the Arts Grant for visual arts in 2000. TED KAUFFMAN has a B.A. in Spanish from Fort Lewis College and an M.A. in educational literacy, language and culture from Adams State University. He is a certified bilingual/ESL teacher and works for Carbondale Community School. KAREN KEAN-HINES received a B.S. and D.V.M. from Colorado State University. While in private practice, her area of specialty was small animal medicine and surgery. She is a Professor of Veterinary Technology at CMC. DIANE KENNEY has a B.A. from Donnelly College and a B.F.A from the Kansas City Art Institute. She created and was the executive director of the Carbondale Clay Center for more than seven years. AUDREY KENTZ is a personal trainer who has been teaching fit ball, spin, weight training, stretch and tone, and core strength classes for 16 years. BRUCE KIME has a B.S. in education from Oklahoma State University, an M.S. in recreation and parks administration from the University of Oklahoma, and a Ph.D. in higher education and adult studies from the University of Denver. He is a graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School and an Associate Professor of Outdoor Education at CMC. KLAUS KOCHER has a B.S. in food technology, a B.B.A. in business management from Iowa State University and an M.F.A. in Photography from Ohio University. He has worked as a photographer for more than twenty years. EUNICE KONG is originally from Hong Kong and was in the sales and marketing field there for several years before coming to the United States. She has taught for CMC since 2008. AMY KRAKOW has a B.A. from the University of Illinois and an elementary teaching certificate from Western State. She is the author of three children’s books: “The Mutt and the Monster,” “The Mutt and the Monster Go to Mexico” (bilingual) and “The Mutt and the Monster Go Skiing and Snowboarding.” SUE LAVIN holds a B.A. and an M.A. in English and an M.F.A. and Ph.D. in theater. A veteran high school drama teacher, she taught for 16 years at Colorado Rocky Mountain School. Her book “Women and Comedy in Solo Performance” was published in 2004 by Taylor and Francis. BOB LAWTON has a B.S. in forest management. He has been an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and crew member for the Glenwood Springs Ambulance Service and was also an American Red Cross Safety Specialist for the State of Colorado. STEVE LEE has a B.S. and an M.S. in computer science, with a focus in A.I., from Baylor University. He is an Associate Professor of Computer Information Systems at the CMC Vail/Eagle Valley Campus. MICHELLE LEFEBVRE holds a B.A. in speech communication and a certificate in gerontology from Colorado State University. She received her master’s in applied communication and certificate in training from the University of Denver. JESSICA LORAH has an M.B.A./Health Services Administration degree from University of Utah. She works for the Valley View Hospital Foundation. CHARLOTTE LUEDERS has a B.S. in secondary education with a mathematics certification from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania and an M.A. in secondary education with a mathematics certification from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. COURTNEY MADDEN earned her B.A. in Spanish from Penn State University. She lived in Madrid for a year and has taken graduate-level Spanish courses at the University of Texas at Austin. CINDY MAESTAS is a life-long aerobic student and an avid soccer player and coach in the Basalt Soccer leagues. She is a property manager in Aspen and has been teaching for Colorado Mountain College since 1999. CAROLYN MANOSEVITZ holds an M.F.A. from the University of Texas. She is an active professional painter/educator and is a member of the College Arts Association. Her artwork is part of private and corporate collections in the U.S., Canada, and Israel. MELANNA MARCELLOT has a R.N., B.S.N. and an M.A. in education. She has been a nurse educator for more than 30 years and is now an Associate Professor at CMC. ANA MARSDEN has been a certified Johnny G SPIN instructor since 1998 and has been the owner and co-owner of two SPIN studios. She is also a certified personal trainer through American Counsel on Exercise (ACE). JOHN MCCORMICK has a M.A. in counseling psychology from the University of Colorado-Denver. KEN MCCRACKEN has an M.A. from James Madison University in English. He has been an NREMT paramedic since 1993 and has been teaching paramedic, intermediate and basic EMT classes since 1979. He has been working in EMS/fire agencies since 1976 and is the full-time EMS instructor/program coordinator for the Roaring Fork Campus. HELEN MCQUEENEY is a personal trainer certified with the American Council on Exercise, as well as a certified spinning, water aerobics, and core training instructor and weight training orientation specialist. BERT MEYERS has a B.A. from DePaul University. He has owned several successful businesses in the Roaring Fork Valley. BUCK MILLS holds an M.F.A. degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a B.F.A. from the Rhode Island School of Design. He is Professor and Coordinator for the Professional Photography Program. JOHNNA MODENE was professionally trained in the Graham technique with the Toronto Dance Theater and also attended the Cunningham School in New York City. Over a 17-year dance career, she has performed with various dance companies including the Charles Weidman Dance Theater, Toronto Dance Theater, and Doug Varone Dance Company. She is a certified instructor in self defense, is trained in Soo Bahk Do, and holds a third-degree black belt. PIXIE MORIN holds a certificate in Exercise Science Technology and has taught aerobics for more than twenty years. PATRICK MURPHY has a B.S. in geography and is completing an M.S. in geography/natural resource management from Southern Illinois University. JEFF MYERS received his B.S. and D.V.M. degrees from Colorado State University. He was formerly a partner/clinician with the Aspen and Carbondale Animal Hospitals and now is a Professor of Veterinary Technology and Program Director of the Veterinary Technology Program at CMC’s Roaring Fork Campus. KEN NEUBECKER has an M.Ed. in experiential education from the University of Colorado-Boulder. He is the current president of Colorado Trout Unlimited, on the Colorado River Basin Roundtable, a member of the Governor’s Forest Health Advisory Council, a founder of the Eagle River Watershed Council and served on the BLM’s Resource Advisory Sub-Committee for the Glenwood Springs Field Office. He currently works as a professional land surveyor in Glenwood Springs. DAVE NOTOR has studied art at the Colorado Art Institute and with several master pastelists. His studio is located at the Red Brick Center for the Arts in Aspen. MAUREEN NUCKOLS has an M.S. in nursing from Boston University and an M.S. in counseling psychology from the University of Denver. She has more than 30 years of experience and is Board Certified in Medical-Surgical Nursing. She is a Professor of Nursing at CMC’s Roaring Fork Campus. ROSALIE OLSEN is an associate attorney at Leavenworth & Karp, P.C. Before pursuing a legal career, Rosalie earned a master’s degree in Spanish and taught for several years at the university level. She also studied in Mexico on a Rotary Ambassadorial Fellowship, and developed materials for and taught CLE Spanish for Legal Professionals classes in Denver. CAROL OPEKA holds a B.A. in French from Ohio University and an M.A. in human communication from the University of Northern Colorado. Carol has been a two time French exchange Fulbright teacher, and taught French at Glenwood Springs High School for 20 years. FRAN PAGE has an M.F.A. in dance from New York University and she is currently the Artistic Director of the Aspen Dance Connection. She has been practicing and teaching yoga since 1970. JOHN PALMER earned an M.S.E. in applied mathematics and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Purdue University. He served on the USMA faculty at West Point for 12 years, followed by another 15 years at the Mercer University School of Engineering in Georgia. Fluent in several computer languages, including C and C++, much of his work over the years has focused on computer applications in engineering and engineering management. KRISTA PARADISE has an M.A. in liberal studies/social science from Regis University and a B.A. in political science from the University of Wisconsin. BO PERSIKO completed graduate studies in religion and psychotherapy. He has worked as the clinical director of a psychiatric treatment center for adolescents and their families, and is a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist. SIDNEY PONCELET has a B.A. in western European studies from the Monterey Institute of International Studies and a certificate in Teaching of English as a Foreign Language from the Bell Language School in Geneva Switzerland. She has taught ESL to international high school students in Monterey and in France. KERRI POWELL is an avid runner and has practiced yoga and aerobics for many years. She is certified as a group fitness instructor by the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), and is in the process of becoming a certified Yoga instructor. ANDY PUTNAM holds an A.A. from Colorado Mountain College with an outdoor studies concentration. He is an American Canoe Association certified kayak instructor who has kayaked since 1985, and worked since 1987 as a river guide on the Arkansas River. Andy is also a PSIA certified Alpine and Telemark skiing instructor. JACK REAL received his M.S. in agency counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is CACIII certified. JOE REINING has a B.A. in geology from Adams State College, an M.S. in geophysics from the University of Texas at Dallas and has done additional graduate work toward a Ph.D. in mathematics at the Colorado School of Mines. He was a geophysicist for several petroleum companies in both research and supervisory positions. He is an Associate Professor of Science and Math at CMC. STEVE REYNOLDS holds a B.S. in finance and a B.S. in accounting from Central Missouri State University. He is an ACE-certified personal trainer, a Johnny G. spinning instructor, and an aerobics instructor. Steve has been personal training and teaching fitness classes since 1991 and owns two health clubs in the Roaring Fork Valley. VIRGINIA REYNOLDS is certified through the Aerobic Pipeline for Step Aerobics and Johnny G for Spinning. She also teaches salsa aerobics and flexiball, and has been a personal trainer since 1997. She owns two health clubs in the valley. ELLEN RIEDER received her M.A. from George Washington University. She studied Spanish at Estudio Sampere in Madrid and holds a CELTA certification. MESHA RISNER has a B.S. in geology with a minor in watershed science from Mesa State College. She has been teaching at CMC since 1998. RHONDA ROBERTS received her A.A.S. with a degree in veterinary technology from CMC. She has dedicated the past six years to the veterinary field and recently joined CMC as an adjunct instructor. LESLIE ROCKEY received an A.A.S. in veterinary technology from CMC. She has worked or volunteered in the animal welfare industry for over ten years and is the director of Colorado Animal Rescue. JAMIE ROTH obtained her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law and her B.A. cum laude from Colorado State University. She has practiced law in Glenwood Springs for eight years and is an attorney with the Glenwood firm, Beattie, Chadwick & Houpt, LLP. LISA RUNCK has a B.A. from the University of Alaska in Fairbanks and an M.A. in counseling from Central Michigan University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado. Lisa has been a Student Services Counselor at CMC Spring Valley since 2004. LYNN RUOFF attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and is currently running her own green living consulting business called Eco-Goddess. She has been teaching people how to live “greener” for over 10 years. KIMBERLY RYDER holds a Ph.D. in physiology and biophysics from Indiana University’s School of Medicine and a master’s degree in exercise physiology from Ball State University. Kimberly comes to CMC from the New York Chiropractic College where she received several teaching awards and developed a series of women’s health symposiums for the community. JONATHAN SATZ holds a B.S. from Utah State University and an M.A. in bilingual and English as a Second Language education from Adams State College. He has studied Spanish in Mexico, Guatemala and Costa Rica, where he also taught ESL to adolescents and adults. He is the Continuing Education Director at CMC’s Roaring Fork Campus Glenwood Center. JANE SEGLEM holds a B.A. in art from Ohio Wesleyan University and an M.C.A.T. from Hahnemann University. She has taught art since 1970. NANCY SHEFFIELD holds an A.A.S. in veterinary technology from Blue Ridge Community College, a B.S. in animal science from the University of Maryland and an M.Ed. from the University of Illinois. She is an Associate Professor of Veterinary Technology at CMC’s Roaring Fork Campus. ROSEANNE SHEPARD holds a B.A. from Benedictine College with emphases in reading and psychology. She is an Instructor of Developmental Education at CMC. CHRISTIE SMITH holds a B.A. in English from Tufts University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Denver. Her book on turn-of-the-20th century western life, “Social Class in the Writings of Mary Hallock Foote (1847-1938),” will be published in spring 2009. SARA SMITH has a B.A. in Latin American literature from George Washington University and an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Spanish from Michigan State University. She has studied in many Spanish-speaking countries including Spain, Peru, Argentina and Mexico. She has taught college-level Spanish since 1991. STAN SNYDER is a Certified Public Accountant. He received his B.S. in business administration from the University of Denver. He is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a certified MOUS (Microsoft Office User Specialist). Stan serves as a consultant to small business owners. DANIEL SPRICK attended the National Academy of Design in New York and received a B.A. from the University of Northern Colorado. He has exhibited at galleries and participated in museum exhibitions nationally and is the winner of a merit scholarship from the National Academy of Design and the 1982 Gold Medal from Allied Artists of America. MARGO STAPLETON has a B.S. in education from the University of Tulsa. She has been teaching for CMC since 1991. SUJATA STEPHENS is a certified Anusara yoga instructor and has directed 3 yoga studios. She has presented yoga workshops in several states and has conducted yoga therapy sessions, teacher training courses, and meditation workshops. NANCY STRANGER holds B.S. degrees in art education and interior design from Northern Arizona University, and an M.Ed. and Ph.D. from Colorado State University. Nancy’s areas of research include community college leadership, vocational education administration and the integration of technology with fine art. Nancy is a Professor of Graphic Design and the Graphic Design Program Director at CMC. TAMI SUBY has an M.A. in English with an emphasis in the teaching of writing. She is a Fellow of the National Writing Project. PEGGY SWANK has a degree in electrical engineering from Lawrence Institute of Technology. She worked for 22 years providing computer support for General Motor’s Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing staffs. JANE SZUCS holds an A.A. and Outdoor Education Certificate from CMC, a B.A. in Sociology from Fort Lewis College, a master’s degree in applied sociology from Northern Arizona University, and more than sixty hours of doctoral coursework in the socio-cultural foundations of education from the University of Utah. She is the Academic Assistance Coordinator for CMC’s Roaring Fork Campus and began teaching for CMC in 2007. CRAIG TATE has been working in the energy efficiency field for 25 years. He weatherized over 1000 homes in western Colorado for the Department of Energy and has completed more than 5000 energy audits in the Roaring Fork and Vail valleys since 1990 as Holy Cross Energy’s energy auditor. PATTY THAYN holds a B.A. from Fort Lewis College and a master’s degree in reading from the University of Northern Colorado. LIZ THELE has a B.F.A. from the University of Illinois. She specializes in painting landscapes and working in the outdoors. She is a full-time artist with a studio in the Crystal River Valley and shows her work nationally. LAURA VAN DYNE holds a B.A. in Biology from Metro State and is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer. She is a retired professor of veterinary technology. She has a business as a canine consultant in Carbondale and teaches at CMC in the Veterinary Technology program. BOBBIE VAN METER received her A.A.S. from CMC in commercial art and graphics in 1985. She runs a home-based graphics business in Silt. JASON VARGAS received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in mathematics from California State University-Northridge. He taught for four years at CSUN and five years at Cosumnes River College and is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at CMC. MIKE WADYKO has an M.A. in modern European history and international studies from the University of Pittsburgh and a Ph.D. in history from West Virginia University. He has taught history and geography at West Virginia University, the University of Pittsburgh, Mesa State College, and CMC. GINA WALLER has a B.S. in community services from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a teaching certificate in elementary education (K-8) from the University of New Mexico. She has been teaching for CMC since 2001. SHARON WALTER is an R.D.H. and graduated from Ohio State University’s dental hygiene program. She has studied and practiced yoga since 1995, and has been teaching yoga in the valley since 2003. She has attended workshops and teacher training in Anusara, Iyengar and other Hatha yoga styles. ROBERT WANG has a B.S.E. in engineering science and an M.S.E. in environmental engineering from the University of Michigan, and a Ph.D. in biology education from the University of Northern Colorado. He has developed and designed several experiential science and outdoor education programs for K-12 students and educators. KAY WARE received her B.S. in social work from Colorado State University and preschool director qualification from CMC. She has been a pre-school teacher and director since 1985. MIRANDA WATSON has an A.A. from CMC and a B.S. in computer science engineering from the University of Colorado. She has five years of programming experience in Visual Basic and other computer applications. She has a group fitness certification from AFAA. JESSICA WAYT has a degree in elementary education with a Spanish minor. She has taught at the elementary level for eight years, has studied Spanish for more than 15 years, and has lived and studied in Honduras and Mexico. She is a private Spanish tutor for adults and children. CINDY WEAVER has a B.A. in secondary education and an M.Ed. from Colorado State University. She has taught for CMC since 1989. STEVE WHITE is a Colorado Department of Education certified soccer coach. He is the Athletic Program Director and head soccer coach for CMC’s Roaring Fork Campus soccer team. SYLVIA WHITE received her A.S. and A.A. degrees from CMC and her B.S. in geology from Mesa State College. She is a math teacher and tutor. LAUREL WILLIAMS has been a certified massage therapist through Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals since 1989. She has worked for many years in massage and foot reflexology, and has also studied healing under Rev. H. Lynn Radcliff and Alta Thompson. NATASHA WILLIAMS has a Ph.D. in biology from the Russian Academy of Sciences. She worked for the Central Siberian Botanical Garden as a scientific researcher for 15 years. LOIS WILMOTH holds a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Colorado and an M.A. in education from Western State College. She taught in public schools for 34 years. JANET WOLF has a B.S. in accounting from Southwest Minnesota State University and is a CPA. DENISE WRIGHT has an M.B.A. in business and marketing from University of Colorado. She started Beyond the Bell, an after-school program in Glenwood Springs, and has been a freelance writer and graphic designer since 1990. EILEEN WYSOCKI holds a B.A. in psychology from Northern Illinois University and has worked for Holy Cross Energy since 1996. She is currently the residential energy auditor and performs an average of more than 300 energy audits per year. She is also a member of the New Castle Climate Action Advisory Commission and the New Castle Environmental Advisory Committee. GARRY ZABEL received his B.S and M.S. in geology from the University of Houston. He was formerly a professor of geology/general science at CMC’s Roaring Fork Campus. PAM ZENTMYER has a B.A. in English from the University of Colorado. She taught ESL to children for Americorps and has traveled extensively. |
