You can easily reset your
Password in Blackboard if you’ve forgotten it. However,
you must know how your name appears in Blackboard and have
a current email address loaded in the personal information
area of your account. Blackboard uses this email address
to send you an email that allows you to reset your password.
Here are the instructions for using this function after
you ’ve accessed the login page.
Step 1:
You must enter your Username for this function
to work. Then, select the “Forgot password?” link.
Step 2:
Enter either your First Name
and Last Name as it appears in Blackboard
and your Blackboard Username or your First
Name and Last Name and the email address
appearing in your personal information.
Then select the “Submit” button.
Step 3:
A message is presented
indicating that Blackboard will send
you instructions via email on how to
change your password.
Step 4:
Here is a sample of the email
sent to you. Select the link provided.
Step 5:
Enter a new Password once
in the “Password” field and
once in the “Verify Password” field.
Then, select the “Submit” button.
The reset password action is now completed.
